Kate Chooses Art

The Duchess of Cambridge, seen here looking incredibly cute in a jaunty titfer, has been mulling over what charities to support and has plumped to become patron of four: Action on Addiction, East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH), the Art Room and the National Portrait Gallery. Ex-Brownie Kate will also become a hands-on volunteer in the Scout Association. I can imagine her tent surrounded by royal bodyguard tents with an outer circle of beavers and cubs. Let's hope the bodyguards' jolly campfire songs aren't too risqué! Art and kids seem to be her current priorities. The Art Room provides art therapy for children with issues like low self-esteem and Asperger's syndrome at centres in Oxford and London. I'm not sure the National Portrait Gallery needs a royal patron, but I suppose every little helps.
