If you want to take a last peek at Picasso's Child with a Dove (1901) before it leaves the country, you'll need to visit The Courtauld Gallery, where it's currently on display in the exhibition Becoming Picasso: Paris 1901 until 27 May (CLICK). It was flogged by Christie's on behalf of the Aberconway family in Wales for a reported £50m. An export ban was placed on the painting to try to keep it in the UK, but the readies couldn't be found. French newspaper Le Figaro reports Child With A Dove has been bought by a collector in Qatar, where the big money is (CLICK).
