Xu Beihong update

ArtDaily reports that Xu Beihong's Slave and Lion sold for more than US$7 million at Christie’s Hong Kong 20th Century Chinese Art sale! Okay, this painting was good enough to catch my eye, but US$7m for a work from the 1920's, by a minor artist, worth probably about £20,000! Such prices are insane. I repeat Coxsoft Art's advice to UK galleries. If you spot something like this in a car boot sale for 50p, buy it!
