Refugee Week 2007 began yesterday and continues until 24 June. This is "a UK-wide programme of arts, cultural and educational events that celebrate the positive contribution of refugees to the UK". So it's propaganda. It doesn't tell you about the negative side of refugees. A recent study found that young immigrants from violent and war-torn countries fuel crime in Britain (CLICK). Ignore the bias. What's the art like? Dunno. The website (title link) doesn't show examples for 2007, although there are archives. It has a long list of events, some of which are in London. So take a dip and see what you can find.
