£1,000 Reward Offered
A reward of £1,000 has been offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of thieves who stole thousands of pounds worth of paintings, ceramics and sculptures from the First View Gallery on the National Trust Stourhead estate in Wiltshire. The break-in took place on Tuesday night 10/11 March. The thieves appear to be hooligans, rather than professional criminals, because they ransacked the charity's education centre before entering the gallery, which exhibits works by local artists. This beautiful painting by Peter Snell is one of the stolen works.
