Santa Croce Frescos

A five-year restoration of the frescos inside Basilica di Santa Croce (Basilica of the Holy Cross) in Florence has been completed. The scaffolding and lift will remain in place for another year to allow visitors to ascend to the ceiling for a closer look at the restored frescos. Click the title link for a BBC News video. They knew how to build architectural wonders in those days.
