Michelangelo's Nude

Time for some real art from one of the great masters: Michelangelo Buonarroti. His A male Nude, sketched in black chalk, comes up for auction at Christie's Old Masters and 19th Century Art Evening Sale on Tuesday 5 July in London, estimated value £3m to £5m. It's one of only 24 sheets of preparatory sketches for his lost commission of The Battle of Cascina. (Leonardo da Vinci got the job.)
