Ronald Searle RIP

British cartoonist Ronald Searle has died in his sleep in a hospital in Draguignan, France, aged 91. He was famous for creating the fictional girls' school St Trinian's, but many other Searle cartoons enlivened magazines in Europe and the USA, including Punch and The New Yorker. He won prizes from America's National Cartoonists' Society and also France's prestigious Legion d'Honneur in 2007. The graphic shows the front cover of St Trinian's: The Entire Appalling Business (2008) published following the 2007 St Trinian's movie. Click the title link for a BBC video.
