Bloodhound SSC

Here's an artist's impression of the Bloodhound SSC (Super Sonic Car) attempting to break the world land speed record at 1,000mph. The British team developing the rocket-powered car has announced that it will fire the hybrid rocket on 3 October at the Aerohub, Newquay Cornwall Airport (CLICK).
