Bill Woodrow RA

Here's another example of the decline of artistic capabilities of Royal Academicians. It's a telephone partly covered in varnished plaster by Bill Woodrow RA entitled Untitled (1979) part of his Fossil Series. It's supposed to be a sculpture, but it's neither artistic nor funny. The exhibition of 50 examples of Bill's "oeuvre" is in Burlington Gardens, the Royal Academy’s new venue for contemporary art. Admission costs £8 for adults, £7 for silver surfers (CLICK). They must be joking! I wouldn't bother with this if it were free.
