Stolen Art Found

Two paintings stolen from a collector's London home almost 40 years ago have been recovered in Italy. Shown is Pierre Bonnard's La femme aux deux fauteuils (Woman with two armchairs) worth about £500,000. The other is a Gauguin still life worth millions. They were bought by a Fiat factory worker for 45,000 lire (£19) at a lost property sale in 1975. He took them back to Sicily when he retired. It was his son who thought the Gauguin might be the real deal. Experts were consulted. They called in the police (CLICK).
