Rossetti's Obsession

Jane Morris (née Burden) became the face of brooding beauty for the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood thanks to Dante Gabriel Rossetti's many paintings of her. She died in 1914. The William Morris Gallery in Walthamstow is marking the centenary of Jane's death with a free exhibition Rossetti's Obsession, bringing together rarely seen drawings and pastel studies of Jane by Rossetti, as well as images of Jane as herself (CLICK).
