This pathetic daub Landscape At Llanaelhaearn
(1947) by Welsh artist Sir Kyffin Williams has been stolen from London's Southbank Centre, where it was on loan from the Arts Council Collection. A member of staff found the broken picture frame hidden in a toilet cubicle in Royal Festival Hall. It is thought the painting was stolen at the end of September (CLICK
). It is now 17 October! This gives us an idea how often paintings on display at the Southbank Centre are checked and how often the Royal Festival Hall loos are cleaned! If you spot this daub in a car boot sale, contact Scotland Yard's Art and Antiques Unit.
