Ivan Shishkin

Earlier today I mentioned that Russian Ivan Shishkin (1831–1898) was one of my favourite landscape artists. Shown is his painting: The Rocky Landscape (1889). This award-winning artist studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, then at the Imperial Academy of Arts. He haa a minor planet named after him (CLICK).
