Sargent and Friends

On 12 February the National Portrait Gallery in London opens Sargent Portraits of Artists and Friends, a major exhibition which brings together over 70 portraits by John Singer Sargent painted during his time spent in London, Paris and Boston, as well as during his travels in the Italian and English countryside. Shown is his portrait Dr Pozzi at Home (1881). Admission costs £14.50 or £13 for silver surfers, who can get an extra £1 off if they trot along on Wednesdays (CLICK). It's an insult!
