The dearth of worthwhile programmes on TV forced me to hunt around. Caribbean with Simon Reeve on BBC Two is what I found. Sadly, it has only three episodes, but you can catch them all on BBC iPlayer. Spouting mind-blowing statistics as he goes, Simon bounces around some of the most beautiful and dangerous places on earth, shaking hands with cannabis farmers and trying out police machine guns.
