Jean-Étienne Liotard

Here's the finest portrait I've come across today. It depicts a little lady with a big name: Maria Frederike van Reede-Athlone aged 7 (1755-1756). It was painted by Swiss artist Jean–Étienne Liotard, the master of pastel techniques, which allowed portraits to be painted much quicker than with oil paints.
