The Death of Mime
Marcel Marceau died yesterday. He and Charlie Chaplin were the two great mime artists of the 20th century. I still remember being entranced by one of his French movies many years ago. What I didn't know until today is that he appeared in Barbarella (1968). In the clip above he's playing gooseberry between Jane Fonda's Barbarella in kinky boots and John Phillip Law's Angel keeping a stiff upper lip in a ticklish feathered loincloth.
