Alison Watt: Phantom

Hands up everyone who thinks this artist - Alison Watt - has breached the Fleshy Knickers Convention of Western European art. Ostensibly it's a subtle oil painting of folds in fabric. Either we're projecting or the artist is sublimating. She's been Associate Artist at the National Gallery for the last two years. Looks like a waste of time to me. Alison Watt: Phantom opened last week and continues until 22 June. It's in the Sunley Room, admission free.
