War Reporters Memorial
Shock statistic: on average over the last decade two war reporters have been killed each week. Spanish artist Jaume Plensa won an international competition to gain the BBC commission for this memorial to war reporters, including their drivers and translators, who are killed doing their job. It's called Breathing. Made of glass and steel, the 32ft (10m) high work of art on top of BBC Broadcasting House in central London will be illuminated every evening at 10pm, shining a beam of light and remembrance into the night sky. I'm not sure why the word GIN features on the memorial.
