Dressed To Kill
Art or not, this magnificent suit of Wilton Anime Armour is the centrepiece of Henry VIII: Dressed to Kill, an exhibition which opens in the Tower of London on Friday 3 April. It was made for King Henry in about 1544 and somehow ended up in New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art, which has loaned the armour to make this the most extensive display of Henry's arms and armour ever mounted. Unmissable, you might think. Perfect for the Easter school holidays. Think again. The admission fees are for rich tourists, not for impoverished Londoners: adult £17.00, child £9.50, concessions £14.50, family (2 adults, 3 kids) £47.00!
