Michelangelo's Dream

For those of you who enjoy the art of drawing, here's a rare treat. Michelangelo's Dream opened today at The Courtauld Gallery, London, and continues until 16 May. The Dream (Il Sogno) is the centrepiece of a series of drawings which Michelangelo composed for a youth he fell in love with: Tommasso de Cavalieri. Admission prices aren't too bad: adults £6.00, silver surfers £5.00. Click the title link for more information and tickets. CLICK for a rather poor BBC video (might be UK only).

Hi, Lorene

It certainly looks a good'un. The Courtauld Gallery owns The Dream. Other drawings have come from the Royal Collection and the Vatican.

I've no idea whether it will travel to the States. I doubt it, because none if the exhibits have come from the States. There's usually a tit-for-tat arrangement in these international exhibitions.

It's worth checking ArtDaily (link in my sidebar) because that is more USA-orientated. If the exhibition travels to the US, ArtDaily will publish that info in its newsletter.
