Budapest Treasures at RA

The autumn biggy at the Royal Academy of Arts in London is Treasures from Budapest: European Masterpieces from Leonardo to Schiele, which runs from 25 September to 12 December. The exhibition comprises works from the Museum of Fine Arts, Budapest, with additional loans from the Hungarian National Gallery. Over 200 paintings, drawings and sculpture from the early Renaissance to the 20th Century will be shown, including Portrait of a Man (c 1555) by Paolo Veronese (shown). Many of these works haven't previously been exhibited in the UK. Price of admission? If you need to ask, you can't afford it. However, silver surfers and the "unwaged" take heart. Those of you on income support can gain entry for as little as £4. As this price includes a gallery guide worth £2.50, it's a snip (title link).
