Engagement

Today the Stephen Friedman Gallery in London opened the first UK solo exhibition of new work by US artist Jennifer Rubbell (title link). Its publicity-grabbing centerpiece is this rather goofy waxwork of Prince William by French sculptor Daniel Druet, which Ms Rubbell calls Engagement. Her idea is that visitors can don a replica of Kate Middleton's engagement ring, which is attached to the prince's sleeve, and take her place beside the prince for a photo.
