Qi Shu

The eyes I used in my graphic for Chinese New Year belong to Taiwanese beauty Qi Shu, model, soft porn pinup, movie star and brand ambassador for Frédérique Constant ladies watches (above left 2008). Her eyes were used to excellent effect in the OTT action movie The Transporter (2002). She spends the first part of the film trussed and gagged (above right). Her lovely expressive eyes plead for rescue. She was billed in the film as Shu Qi. Westerners tend to get Chinese names wrong, because we put the individual name first and the family name last. Qi Shu has won a Golden Horse Award (an "Asian Oscar") for Best Supporting Actress.

She is beautiful, but The Transporter was one of the worse movies I ever saw!

Hi, Guillaume

I watched it on TV because the TV guide said it was a Luc Bresson Film. Writer, not director! It's a ghastly mish-mash of 2 writers and 2 directors, one a Hong Kong action director. Really awful. But the opening scene of panicking bank robbers and OTT cop chase is hilarious.

Hi, Yousaf

I'm afraid not. She's a Hong Kong actress. You'll find lots of pictures of her on the Internet. Just make sure you type her name the Chinese way.
