Brixton Windmill

Today, one of the handful of remaining windmills in London reopened to the public after a five-year restoration project costing £581,000. It was built in 1816 and was originally called Ashby Mill after its owner. It has now been renamed Brixton Windmill. You'll find it in Windmill Gardens in Brixton, south-west London. The Grade II-listed windmill is intended as a living museum, grinding locally grown wheat and barley. Wheat fields in Brixton! Where?
