Landy's Hand
This is the latest load of tosh from Art on the Underground: Michael Landy's All my lines in the palm of your hand (2011). Tom Edwards, transport correspondent for BBC London News, has finally posed the question some of us have been wondering about: How much do all these "art" projects cost Transport for London? Answer: £400,000 (supplemented by grants from the Arts Council). Two more questions for you, Tom. Why on earth is the Arts Council wasting money on TfL tosh? And who do TfL fat cats imagine they're pleasing with all this so-called art? When you take a trip on the Underground, you can't miss all those posters which advertising agencies create to promote theatrical shows, movies, day trips and so on. And all these posters are superior to TfL's "world class art"! Come back Lorenzo the Magnificent; all is forgiven.
