Tate Britain Gift

Here's a small and brief exhibition at Tate Britain in London I would have missed were it not for ArtDaily (CLICK). The Mercedes and Ian Stoutzker Gift to Tate opened on 1 October and runs until 14 October (CLICK). It displays the six paintings and three sculptures recently donated to Tate by the collectors and philanthropists Mercedes and Ian Stoutzker (a banker!). Their aim is to make these works widely available to the public to enjoy. Lucian Freud's Girl In A Striped Nightdress or Celia (1983-85) is one of their donations. As part of BP British Art Displays, entry is free.
