Council To Flog Moore

The London Borough of Tower Hamlets is to sell Henry Moore's bronze sculpture Draped Seated Woman, nicknamed Old Flo. It was bought by the former London County Council for £6,000 in 1960 and installed on the Stifford council estate in 1962. Locals showed what they thought of the monstrosity by vandalising it. So the council loaned it to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park in 1997. Cash-strapped Tower Hamlets now wants it it back to sell. It could be worth between £4m and £17. Bad art; good profit (CLICK).
