Man Ray Portraits

On 7 February the National Portrait Gallery in London opens Man Ray Portraits, the first major museum retrospective of this artist’s photographic portraits. The exhibition follows his career in America and Paris from 1916 to 1968. Shown is his Solarised Portrait of Lee Miller (1929). His catalogue of lovelies also includes Catherine Deneuve and Ava Gardner. The bad news, as is often the case, is the price: standard tickets cost £12.70, silver surfers' tickets £11.80 (CLICK).
