Amazon Art

Internet retail giant Amazon, which manages to dodge its fair share of UK corporation tax, has launched Amazon Art (CLICK). It showcases more than 40,000 works from over 150 galleries and dealers in the USA. Already more art is being bought online than from art galleries (CLICK). Amazon aims to accelerate this trend. I wonder if Amazon UK will jump on the bandwagon and, if so, how will it handle artists' resale rights and the UK government's tendency to slap export bans on art once owned by someone famous or aristocratic, irrespective of its worth as art or its lack of status as true British heritage?
