Yesterday Tate Britain opened Ruin Lust, a soppy title with an even soppier video attempting to be mysterious and creepy and falling flat on its face (CLICK). Tate has taken the eighteenth century fashion for picturesque landscapes and ruins and mixed it up with some Mickey-taking modern tripe and expects us to pay £10.00 adults or £8.60 silver surfers to view it. No thanks.
