Polluted Britain

I remember Norfolk with its broads and sea breezes as a breath of fresh air after stuffy old London, but yesterday it hit the maximum scale of 10 for air pollution. Saharan dust, European emissions and local pollutants prompted official health warnings to be issued to people with heart disease and lung problems (CLICK). Look at this jet landing at Heathrow Airport yesterday. We can't stop Saharan dust or filthy European emissions, but we can limit Heathrow. Anyone who wants to build another runway at Heathrow should be deemed a corporate psychopath.
