Dalitha

This is Dalitha by the British landscape painter and master of cheesecake Sir William Russell Flint RA (1880-1969). Dalitha fetched £26,450 in Lyon & Turnbull's auction of a private collection of 21 paintings by the Edinburgh-born watercolourist on 30 April (CLICK). This painting was obviously inspired by the mirror-gazing Rokeby Venus by Diego Velazquez in the National Gallery (CLICK).
