Marine Artists

Also exhibiting at the Mall Galleries is the Royal Society of Marine Artists, which is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year. These are top professionals who paint everything to do with the sea: boats, harbours, shorelines, marine fishes, children on beaches, historic ships. Shown is Passing the Needles, Monday August 8th 1927 by Martin Swan RSMA. Members will be giving a full programme of practical workshops in the new Learning Centre (bookable in advance) and free demonstrations in the gallery. Admission costs £3 for adults or £2.50 for silver surfers. The show sails from Wednesday 15 to Sunday 26 October (CLICK).
