Collecting History

On 6 November the Wallace Collection in London opens Collecting History: The Founders of the Wallace Collection, an exhibition of works from the Hertford House Historic Collection and Wallace Collection archives, much of it never shown to the public before. Shown is Charles Ansell Williams' cartoon He Has Put His Foot In It (June 1812) which depicts the Prince Regent, later George IV, squashing dog poo on the carpet while bemoaning his lust for the 2nd Marchioness of Hertford. Admission is free (CLICK).
