Cotton to Gold

On Saturday Two Temple Place on London’s Victoria Embankment opened Cotton to Gold: Extraordinary Collections of the Industrial North West. Lancashire cotton magnates lavished their wealth on treasures of all kinds: priceless medieval manuscripts, Roman coins, Turner watercolours, Tiffany glass, Japanese prints, Byzantine icons, ivory sculptures and even preserved beetles and a Peruvian mummy. Two Temple Place is home to the Bulldog Trust, a charity founded in 1983. Admission to the show is free (CLICK).
