Shonibare in NY

Yesterday British artist Yinka Shonibare opened his latest load of twaddle at the James Cohan Gallery in New York, entitled Rage of the Ballet Gods. He has dressed manikins as ballet dancers, with globes for heads and given them the symbols of male Greek gods. This Ballet God is Poseidon, as shown by his bolt of lightning in the form of a trident. So what's it all about? The gods are raging against humans' destruction of planet Earth. It's a valid point, but there must be better ways of getting the message across (CLICK).
