Anthrax kills artist
We've all got to die of something, so what's special about this story? Christopher "Pascal" Norris, the artist/craftsman who contracted anthrax and died, imported untreated animal hides into Scotland for ethnic-style drums he made. As anthrax is extremely rare in Scotland - the previous death from this disease was 30 years ago - it seems the anthrax spores were imported with the untreated animal hides! So, any artist or craftsperson thinking of importing untreated hides should think again.
