Jack the Dripper

Jackson Pollock - No. 5, 1948It's a black...er...grey day for art when tripe by Jack the Dripper (Jackson Pollock's nickname) breaks the record for the most expensive painting ever sold: $140m (£73m) according to the New York Times. So, what drip paid this ridiculous sum for No. 5, 1948? Mexican financier David Martinez. You plonker! When the world wakes up to the fact that Dripper's alleged art is rubbish, you won't be able to give it away. And that day will come!

And there's me thinking that £7,000 for a pair of shoes was a tad expensive.

"Miss GB stripped of her title"

These alleged shoes were bought for her by the now geriatric Teddy Sherringham, who currently plays his football for West Ham. I told you I had my newsreader set to the football pages.

She got stripped of her title just for accepting a pair of shoes from Teddy? Sounds a bit harsh. Aren't Miss GB's allowed to accept gifts from strange men? I'll check out the link.
