Canaletto in England

I had a distinct feeling of déjà vu when I saw this forthcoming exhibition at the Dulwich Picture Gallery in London: Canaletto in England: a Venetian Artist Abroad (1746 - 1755) 24 January to 15 April 2007. Yes! It's the same exhibition shown last Autumn at the Yale Center for British Art in the USA (CLICK for my tongue-in-cheek review and an excellent painting of Warwick Castle). What the Dulwich tells us is that many of the pictures in this exhibition are loans from English private collections which aren't open to the public. Thanks, Yanks. You've organized a good'un for us.
