NPG Call For Entries

The National Portrait Gallery in London has announced its call for entries to the BP Portrait Award 2008. The competition is open to everyone aged 18 and over, thanks to the Age Discrimination Act. The closing date is 17 February 2008. The first prize is £25,000. This is a competition which isn't dominated by the Brit. Anti-art Establishment, and the quality is extremely high, as you can see in this brilliant detail from Zuzana in Paris Studio by Hynek Martinec, who won the Young Artist Award 2007 (CLICK to see the full portrait).
