Russian Art Threat

Brenda Emmanus, BBC London's arts correspondent, gabbled this evening about the Russians dithering over bringing the much vaunted exhibition From Russia: French and Russian Master Paintings 1870-1925 to the Royal Academy of Arts (title link). Calm down, dear. The French and Spanish stuff is mostly tripe. It's the Russian masters we want to see (CLICK). If Putin blocks the exhibition because he's miffed we've issued an arrest warrant against his ex-KGB chum Andrei Lugovoi, it's Russian art that will be the poorer, not UK punters.
