Wet Jennifer/Cupid

Isn't it amazing what you chance to find on the Internet? There I was browsing pictures of snakes and up pops a publicity photo for the movie Anaconda (1, 2, 3 or 4). It shows a well-oiled Jennifer Lopez aping Bouguereau's Wet Cupid (1891). I guess the anonymous photographer didn't think we'd know the source of his idea. Cute wings, Jennifer. But what on earth has this pose to do with hunting big scary snakes along the Amazon? (Click the title link for two versions of Bouguereau's Cupid.)
