Modern Chinese Art II

Ch'en Ch'i-k'uan [Chen Qikuan] - Summer Flowers (1997) enhancedIn January Coxsoft Art previewed the first part of Modern Chinese Art, from the Khoan and Michael Sullivan collection of 20th Century Chinese art, at Asia House in London (CLICK). Yesterday Part 2 opened: Modern Chinese Art: A New Generation. This exhibit Summer Flowers by Ch'en Ch'i-k'uan (Chen Qikuan to us) is obviously traditional, but there are more radical works, such as Yue Mingjun's idiotic propaganda Democracy Leading the People. At £2.50, students £1.00, under 18's free, it's worth a visit. Silver surfers? No mention. Ask Sophie Persson: sophie.persson@asiahouse.co.uk.
Why should I do all the work?
