Menagerie at The Jones
There has been heated debate in UK wildlife groups over what to do with that pesky Yankee invader the grey squirrel, which has been driving our native red squirrel toward extinction. Here's the answer: get taxidermist Polly Morgan to stuff 'em (CLICK). Polly will be one of the exhibitors at Menagerie at The Jones, an unusual design exhibition featuring works inspired by animals. The designs range from jewellery to life-sized horses and cows. It's part of the London Design Festival and will run at The Jones in Bayswater from 16 September to 19 October. Eat them squirrels Brother. Boil 'em 'bout two hours. Not too long, then the bones hang together and it's easier to get them out. Squirrel tastes better than most beef. Make it into a soup or gravy. Sure is tasty. I used to shoot them with an air gun when I lived in DC. City squirrels are nice and big.
We've all been wondering what they taste like. Thanks for providing the answer.
Of course in politically correct Britain even vermin must be kill humanely! I'm not sure if air rifles count as a humane form of dispatch.
