Pooh Makes £31,200

Winnie-the-Pooh hits back. Okay, this tondo Tiggers Don't Like Honey by E.H. Shepard may not be in the big league with Munch, but it fetched £31,200 at Bonhams' auction in London today and I would rather have it on my wall than that miserable Munch masterpiece below. Shame it went to a German collector. This should have stayed in the UK. Art Fund, where were you? This is British art, not Venetian. If you can waste £1m on an incompetent Titian, why not £31,200 for a unique Shepard? Note: I've enhanced this faint pencil sketch, so it shows up better as a graphic.
