Raw Urban

Last year I previewed Kennington Kids: Raw Urban & Art on Remand at the Dulwich Picture Gallery, London (CLICK). That exhibition was the result of the Gallery's Education Department running art courses for deprived kids in Alford House Youth Club, Ghetto Lambeth, for six years! The show was such a success that Mayor Bouncy Boris has jumped on the bandwagon, as politicians do, and Kennington Kids: Raw Urban opened today at City Hall and continues until 30th January (title link). They've dropped the "& Art on Remand" from the title, probably so as not to alarm visiting Tories. You'll find the show at the Lower Ramp & Cafe, admission free. Will art keep this ghetto cherub on the straight-and-narrow?
