Pillars of Creation

The Hubble Space Telescope is in the news at the moment, so the BBC has posted some of the best images taken by Hubble (title link). This awesome picture shows The Pillars of Creation, vast columns of cool interstellar gas and dust in the Eagle Nebula. This is the stuff that incubates new stars. Yet again, science has beaten art at its own game. And what price Humanity's feeble little gods when compared with that unimaginable power which creates stars, planets and us?
