Hi-res Uffizi Art

If you fancy zooming in on Botticelli's The Birth of Venus, click the title link. The Italian Haltadefinizione company has posted extremely high-resolution images of 6 masterpieces from the Uffizi gallery in Florence. These images have a resolution of up to 28 billion pixels - about 3,000 times stronger than the resolution of the average digital camera - and can show details as small as a hundredth of a millimeter! High magnification of Caravaggio's Bacchus reveals a tiny self-portrait on the wine jug. See if you can find its eyes watching you.
